Communication of information efficiently and reliably across time and/or space supports the modern world and its sustainable future. This area advances fundamental understanding of the communicated information's structure, partitioning/coding into units, as well as its conversion to/from electromagnetic waves. Our goal is to study and advance this communication and content through increasing use of computing capability (including machine learning and more generally artificial intelligence), understanding of propagation models, and fundamental discovery to support the future's trillions of connected devices and people.
