1892 - One year after the university opens, Physics Professor A.P. Carman is among the first to teach courses that address topics such as electrical currents and magnetism.

EE Taught as a Subject
1893 - The new program of study centered on the design and construction of central generating plants for electricity. F.A.C. Perrine is the first Stanford professor to teach the subject of EE.
