Student Speaker Nomin-Erdene Bayarsaikhan, BS 2025 

Nomin reflected on her love of building, ignited by the useless box project in ENGR 40M.

"In addition to building circuits and devices, we are good at building a community. Through working on problem sets and debugging circuits in the lab until late night, I made some of my closest friends pursuing this major. The undergraduate cohort itself is a community full of friendships, collaboration and support. When I doubted myself in the face of hardship, I was determined to persevere in this journey because those around me were always willing to lend a hand of support with such an open heart, and I truly appreciate that. [...]"

The 2025 Design Awards

Design project experiences bring together many aspects of our undergraduate curriculum and encourages students to innovate in creative new ways.

Firestone Medal for Excellence in Undergraduate Research

This prize is awarded to the top 10% of undergraduate honors theses completed each year.
