
Nika Zahedi awarded a 2025 Firestone Medal for Excellence in Undergraduate Research
Her honors thesis is titled, 'Practical Design of Mode-Division Multiplexing Systems with Group-Delay Compensation Guided by Closed-Form Statistics.'
Nika Zahedi has been selected as a recipient of a 2025 Firestone Medal for Excellence in Undergraduate Research. The award recognizes honors theses written in the social sciences, natural sciences and engineering. Nika's thesis is titled, 'Practical Design of Mode-Division Multiplexing Systems with Group-Delay Compensation Guided by Closed-Form Statistics.'
This prize is awarded to the top undergraduate honors theses completed each year. The projects conducted by the winners capture the breadth of the undergraduate experience at Stanford and span diverse academic areas, from the sciences to the arts.
The 2025 Firestone Medal for Excellence in Undergraduate Research award will be presented at the annual Undergraduate Medals Celebration, held on the Saturday of Commencement Weekend.
