
Tom Soh named the W.M. Keck Foundation Professor
His research is in analytical biotechnology, especially in high-throughput screening, directed evolution, and integrated biosensors.
Professor Tom Soh has been named the W.M. Keck Foundation Professor in Electrical Engineering.
This professorship was endowed in 1990 through a grant from the W.M. Keck Foundation. The foundation was established in 1954 by W.M. Keck Sr., founder of the Superior Oil Company, providing grants to universities and colleges throughout the U.S. with an emphasis on science, engineering, and medical research. Previous holders were David Miller (1997-2024) and Gordon Kino (1992-1996).
Tom’s current research interests are in analytical biotechnology, especially in high-throughput screening, directed evolution, and integrated biosensors.
