Mandatory for F and J student visa holders

This event will be held in person at the Bechtel International Center. The workshop will be held several times from Sept. 11 through Sept. 22. Each session is identical.

> 1. All new international students have an enrollment hold (ENR 31) preventing course registration. To remove the hold, international students must update their SEVIS (US) address in Axess.
> 2. Attend a Maintaining Your Legal Status during New International Graduate Student Orientation.
> 3. Bring their Stanford ID card (or number), passport, I-94 information, and I-20 to the Maintaining Your Legal Status session.

International students: Request your I-20/DS-2019call_made as soon as possible if you have not already done so.

Check your "To-Do" list in Axesscall_made throughout the summer for any documents that are missing from your student record. Any questions about To-Do List items should be directed to the central Graduate Admissions Office, gradadmissions@stanford.edu.

Graduating students: Submit your final transcript (with proof of degree conferral).

  • Domestic Institution Transcripts: Submit official transcript(s) showing: completion of coursework required for degree, degree earned, and date of degree conferral. Electronic copies sent via Parchment or another certified method is preferred. Send to gradadmissions-credentials@stanford.edu.
  • International Institutions Transcripts: Submit official documents to World Education Services (WES) to request a credential evaluation (preferred method). Note: Stanford's assessment of your bachelor's degree may differ from the WES evaluation. Refer to the Graduate Admissions website for more details.

Did you receive external scholarships or fellowships for your graduate studies at Stanford? Please remember that you must send a copy of the award letter outlining the terms of your award to admissions@ee.stanford.edu. You may be eligible to receive Stanford's health insurance subsidycall_made if you are receiving outside funding.

Verify/update your contact information in Axesscall_made and your StanfordWho directory listingcall_made.

If you do not wish to enroll in Cardinal Care, the default student health insurance option for all full-time Stanford students, you will need to waive this option by Friday, September 15 (domestic students). Specific eligibility requirements apply for students who wish to waive Cardinal Care. For more information, see vaden.stanford.edu/Choosing-Your-Insurancecall_made.
