Laura Wuethrich receives School of Engineering Citizenship Award
The award recognizes her exceptional commitment and dedication.
Congratulations to Laura Wuethrich on receiving the School of Engineering Citizenship Award. The School of Engineering (SoE) Staff Service Awards recognize the exceptional commitment and dedication of SoE staff, who were nominated by faculty and staff throughout the school.
Laura is EE's Student Services Degree Progress Officer. Her citation reads: Consistently going above and beyond her job description only begins to describe Laura’s contributions to her department, say her colleagues. “She doesn’t wait for problems to land on her desk – she spots them early and finds solutions before they turn into bigger issues,” says one nominator. Pairing kindness with extreme competence, Laura is described as a “fierce advocate for student success” and consistently navigates complex academic requirements while successfully balancing the often-conflicting needs of both students and faculty. Among her many accomplishments is creating a detailed commencement planning guide from scratch that will “help our department be more successful and efficient in commencement planning for years to come,” says another nominator.
Please join us in congratulating Laura on this much deserved recognition!
