Congratulations to Kelly Woo (PhD candidate) and Mohamadali Malakoutian (postdoc scholar) on their winning DOE Energy Frontiers Research Center Lightning Talk, "Leveraging the resilience of diamond with its unique material properties towards Next Generation Grid innovation."

More than 1,800 graduate students and postdoctoral researchers  were challenged to present their center's research or idea within a 100-second Lightning Talk as part of the 2023 Virtual EFRC-Hub-CMS-CCS PI Meeting held in September. Each center was invited to nominate a student or postdoctoral researcher to showcase the center's learnings or key highlights of research outcomes.

The lightning talks were separated into three meeting days and organized by research topical areas. Kelly and Mohamadali's topic area was Microelectronics; QIS. Their talk was titled, "Leveraging the resilience of diamond with its unique material properties towards Next Generation Grid innovation."

Kelly and Mahamadali are members of Professor Srabanti Chowdury’s Group, Wide-Bandgap Lab.

Please join us in congratulating Kelly and Mohamadali on their excellent work!
