His citation reads, "For contributions to epitaxial growth and nanofabrication of materials and heterojunction devices."
Professor James S. Harris received the 2023 IEEE Jun-ichi Nishizawa Medal "for contributions to epitaxial growth and nanofabrication of materials and heterojunction devices.” The Jun-ichi Nishizawa Medal acknowledges outstanding contributions to material and device science and technology, including practical application.
Jim's research focuses on optoelctronic and electronic devices in compound semiconductor materials grown by molecular beam epitaxy. Including growth of novel materials for quantum devices, Nanoscience and quantum technology, high efficiency solar cells and hydrogen generation, photonic biomedical sensors.
Please join us in congratulating Jim on this remarkable recognition!
