What I Do

I primarily support Professor Srabanti Chowdhury’s Wide-Bandgap Lab, while also assisting Professors Krishna Saraswat and Jim Plummer with backend tasks to ensure their groups run smoothly. My goal is to handle the operational details so they can focus on their academic and research endeavors stress-free.

Origins

I was born and raised in the Bay Area. I grew up in San Francisco, Oakland, and Union City, and lived in Berkeley, Vallejo, and Hayward in my later years. While The Bay is known as a melting pot, each city has its own unique culture that has shaped the person I am today. My path to Stanford’s EE department began during the pandemic when I worked in the LBRE department at Stanford Redwood City before moving to my current position on campus in November of 2023. Before that, I held administrative roles at the University of the Pacific SF Campus, San Francisco State University, and Cal State East Bay. These experiences have given me a broad perspective and a versatile skill set that I bring to my current position.

My EExperience

Joining the EE department—and Stanford as a whole—has been a breath of fresh air in my career. My colleagues are not only knowledgeable but also incredibly supportive, and there’s no shortage of fun events to enjoy. Being on campus is a constant source of inspiration; surrounded by so much excellence, I find myself striving to improve every day.

Outside of Work

I’m a huge music buff and always on the hunt for something new to listen to. You ever meet someone who loves Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Swift, and Metallica equally? Whether it’s hip-hop, pop, heavy metal, or anything in between, I’m all ears. Tell me your favorite album of all time—I’d love to hear it. Beyond music, I’m a big sports fan (go 49ers and Warriors!) and always up for a conversation about the latest happenings in that realm. I also have a keen interest in the stock market, wristwatches, and, most importantly, making people laugh. I pride myself on quick wit and will never pass up the chance to sneak a joke into our conversations.

Favorite Spot

My favorite spot on campus is the Cantor Arts Center—its exhibits are fantastic, and if you haven’t checked it out yet, I highly recommend it. My favorite spot off campus? At home gaming with my 8-year-old son or watching WWE with my 12-year-old superfan daughter. Honorable mentions go to Bob Sang Korean BBQ and my bed—which I don’t see nearly enough of these days.
