Professor Howard Zebker has been awarded the 2023 IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS) Fawwaz Ulaby Distinguished Achievement Award. The GRSS established the Fawwaz Ulaby Distinguished Achievement Award to recognize an individual who has made significant technical contributions over a sustained period. Howard’s citation reads, "For sustained outstanding contributions and leadership in the field of radar interferometry.”

Howard Zebker is a professor of electrical engineering and geophysics. His research specializes in interferometric radar remote sensing applications and technique development, as applied to studies of the Earth and solar system. His research group's main interests include InSAR imaging, Earth exploration from space, satellite remote sensing, planetary science, digital signal processing for geoscience applications, and EM scattering and propagation.
