The session provides an overview of the work, vision, and values of the POP (Protect Our Planet) Movement and will showcase its approach to spearheading youth-led action to tackle climate change through projects with unique, innovative, and technology-based solutions. POP projects are conceived and led by youth leaders, who develop them nurtured under a mentorship program that provides them with practical training, connections, and support in developing and scaling-up their individual and collective impact.  POP projects range from micro-irrigation (Haiti) and marine life awareness (Australia) to abiotic alkaline battery cells from agricultural residues (Mexico), bio-enzymes for eco-friendly disinfectants (Australia), and reduce-recycle-reuse protocols to reduce plastic pollution (Uganda), to name just a few.

In this session, POP founder Dr. Ash Pachauri will introduce some recent POP projects and discuss their impact, both on the youth leaders and on the communities they serve.
