Jug Suraiya is an Indian journalist, author, and columnist known for his satire and opinion pieces. He is the former associate editor and editorial opinion editor of the Times of India. His work has appeared internationally in The New York Review of Books, The Guardian, and The Far Eastern Economic Review, among others. He has authored 15 books, including a novel, short fiction anthologies, travel writing, satirical column compilations, and essays on political and philosophical themes. A cartoon strip he created as a tribute to Peanuts creator Charles M. Schulz is displayed at the Schulz Museum in California.
