GE Vernova was established in 2024 when General Electric spun off its energy businesses, including GE Power, GE Renewable Energy, and GE Digital.

Building on 130+ years of experience, GE Vernova is leading a new energy era—electrifying the world while working to decarbonize it. With a portfolio of 55,000 wind turbines and 7,000 gas turbines, GE Vernova generates about 25% of the world’s electricity, driving the global energy transition forward. Jessica candidly discusses the challenges and opportunities faced on the front lines of the energy transition.

Speaker: Jessica Uhl is the President of GE Vernova (NYSE: GEV), which encompasses General Electric’s portfolio of energy businesses in the Power, Wind and Electrification sectors, having spun off from GE in April 2024. In her capacity as President, Ms. Uhl leads the Strategy, Innovation and Growth division, overseeing all M&A, corporate strategy and venture capital functions as well as GE Vernova’s Advanced Research Center. Prior to joining GE Vernova, Ms. Uhl served as the CFO of Shell plc and on the board of directors of Goldman Sachs and General Electric. Ms. Uhl has spent over 25 years in the energy business and is actively involved in the energy and climate non-profit sector where she serves in advisory/director roles at Columbia University’s Center for Global Energy Policy, the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet and the Mission Possible Partnership, among others.
