Eric Pop receives 2023 Viskanta Fellowship
His citation reads "for independent and innovative research in the field of thermal sciences."
Professor Eric Pop received the 2023 Viskanta Fellowship from the Heat and Mass Transfer group at Purdue University. During his week-long stay at Purdue University, Eric met with faculty in EE, ME, MSE, Physics, and other related departments. Eric's visit culminated with his 2023 Viskanta Lecture titled, "Thermal Transport in Layered Materials, Devices, and Systems."
The Viskanta Fellowship is awarded to an individual who has demonstrated abilities to perform independent and innovative research in the field of thermal sciences through peer‐reviewed publications and patents. Both domestic and international candidates are considered.
Eric Pop is the Pease-Ye Professor of Electrical Engineering and Materials Science & Engineering, by courtesy. Eric leads the SystemX Heterogeneous Integration focus area. Before Stanford, he spent several years on the faculty of UIUC, and in industry at Intel and IBM. His research interests are at the intersection of electronics, nanomaterials, and energy.
