Professor Srabanti Chowdhury received the Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC) Technical Excellence Award. The Technical Excellence Award recognizes research of exceptional value to SRC members and which enhances the productivity and competitiveness of the semiconductor industry.

Srabanti's work focuses on Diamond deposition on GaN and on SiC with low thermal boundary resistance and is truly revolutionary. With this invention, diamond layers with high thermal conductivity can be grown adjacent to active RF and power devices in GaN and SiC semiconductors. She is very prolific in sharing the data which includes methodology and metrology data from her team’s work and providing transparent evaluation of the quality of the experimental work, as well as the health of the process. ​(src.org)
