Peter Mugaba Noertoft, B.S. '25, is one of ten recipients of the 2023 Optica Amplify Scholarship. Peter Mugaba is an undergraduate researcher in the Vučković group, where he works on photonics and nanofabrication as they relate to quantum information technology.

The Amplify Scholarship is awarded annually to 10 Black undergraduate or master's level students. Recipients gain funding and access to a global network of mentors and supporting companies. These individuals are examples of what future Amplify Scholars can aspire to at all career levels.
