Congratulations to Professor Howard Zebker on his election to the National Academy of Engineering (NAE). Election to the National Academy of Engineering is among the highest professional distinctions accorded to an engineer.

Howard’s citation reads, “For developing radar interferometry for space-born sensors that measure meter-scale topography and millimeter-scale surface deformation.”

Howard is professor of electrical engineering and of geophysics. His research group specializes in interferometric radar remote sensing applications and technique development, as applied to studies of the Earth and solar system.
