Looking for guidance on the next steps for your graduate career? Register to attend a panel of professors and advanced graduate students to answer your questions!

Please join us for this open discussion on topics such as:


  • Finding a research advisor
  • Making the most of your summer
  • Planning for the upcoming academic year
  • Transitioning from a course curriculum to research
  • Any related question on your mind!


Panelists: Professor Andrea Goldsmith, Professor Olav Solgaard, and 3 current PhD students (Myungheon Chin, Irena Fischer-Hwang, Chris Rogers)

Internet of Things Hackathon

Where the internet meets Hardware and the theme is Smart House!
Abstract / Description: 

The Stanford internet of things club and Stanford Robotics is proud to present the first Internet of Things Hackathon sponsored by google nest: HomeHacks.

This is a Hackathon centered around where the internet meets hardware and the theme is Smart House!

Build smart appliances like a smart coffee machine or smart lights or just come build anything! Even if you aren't experienced come and learn about working with hardware and the internet. Good food will be available, all while having the chance to win some really cool prizes!

Volunteer for the hackathon: Volunteers will be invited to a special dinner (2 shifts required) as well as receive shirts (only 1 shift).
