Abstract / Description: 

In our final Winter Quarter session, we present our second fast-moving gaming startup out of Eastern Europe - who is also our first Romanian entrepreneur - as well as a new venture fund being formed to target deal flow out of Southeastern Europe.

Bios:

Cristi Badea - Co-Founder, MavenHut Games (RO)
Entrepreneur in his mid 20s, who is passionate about everything related to business, online gaming and sports. Has been working in the online gaming industry for over 6 years and he is a huge fan of Agile development methods and the Lean Startup movement. He's now the founder of MavenHut games, a young social gaming startup, that raised over $800k in funding. Solitaire Arena is MavenHut's flagship title with over 7 million players on Facebook, iOS and Android.

Max Gurvits - Venture Capital Partner, Teres Capital (BG)
Maxim Gurvits has more than five years of experience in venture capital, entrepreneurship, and investment banking. He was instrumental in launching the Eleven Accelerator Venture Fund in Sofia, and in building the investment pipeline, deploying EUR 3 Mn across 35 start-ups, and managing key partnerships with educational, investment and media organizations.
