Abstract / Description:

Kickoff for community sculpture to commemorate EE's 125th anniversary

Starting our weekly workshops on the interactive light art installation we're building to celebrate the 125 anniversary of the EE department. These weekly workshops are a way for students, faculty, staff, and alumni from across the university to be involved in and contribute to the art piece. Charles Gadeken, the artistic director for the project, will be leading the workshops. This quarter, the workshops will be on Mondays. They will usually be in the afternoons, but Charlie will move the time around some so that almost everyone will be attend at some point.

The workshop on September 30th will be 1-3PM.  If we need more space we'll move to an open area upstairs and leave a sign.

In the workshop, we'll
* Brainstorm artistic visions and ideas
* Look at suggestions from the town hall meeting
* Look at the feedback from the students already in the class
* Begin writing the story of what we are trying to achieve and creating a road map to getting there
