We present an optical spatial quantized analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and
experimentally demonstrate 8-level quantization consuming only 7.2pJ per quantization operation.
Measured 8ps full-width half-maximum photodetector outputs, promises the potential of realizing
a 3bit 125GS/s ADC.
